Instagram is a fair: crowds, colour, new people. But at the fair your stall is rented. Someone else makes the rules.

A website is your own shop on your own land. Here, you make the rules.

Why a website, when you have Instagram?

  • Ownership: even if the account is banned or hacked, the website is yours
  • Trust: a brand with “stylestreet.in” looks more serious
  • Google: you need a website for SEO and Google Ads
  • Tracking: Pixel and GA4 show the whole customer journey
  • Scale: handling 60+ orders a month manually over DMs is hard

In Chapter 7 the website was “Phase 2”. In Stage 3 the organic machine got going; now, before ads, we make our shop solid. Home first, then guests.

Website vs landing page

Website

The whole shop: home, collections, about, policies, blog.

stylestreet.in

Landing page

One page, one goal. Built for an ad or campaign.

stylestreet.in/office-kurtis

Sending ad traffic to the home page is like leaving a guest at the gate. Take them straight to the room they came for.

Which platform?

OptionAdvantageWhen
ShopifyE-commerce ready, payments, apps, easyBrands that sell products (StyleStreet)
WordPress + WooCommerceFlexible, cheap hostingIf you’re a little technical
Wix / similar buildersDrag-and-drop, quickService businesses, portfolios
Dukaan / similar Indian buildersStore from your phone, cheapA very small start

StyleStreet chose Shopify basic: COD, UPI payment gateways and WhatsApp-button apps are all ready.

Anatomy of a landing page

Hero: headline + image + CTA→Benefits→Proof→Objections / FAQ→Final CTA
  • Above the fold: visible without scrolling: what it is, who it’s for, price, “Shop now”
  • Benefits: 100% cotton, comfortable for 8 hours, real size
  • Proof: reviews with photos, “2,000+ happy customers” (only if true)
  • FAQ: size, washing, COD, exchange, delivery

Message match: the ad and the page say the same thing

The ad said “₹899 · COD · Free exchange”. The page opens and the price is hidden and the exchange policy is nowhere. The customer gets confused and leaves.

Rule: whatever the ad promises should appear on the landing page’s first screen: same photo, same words, same offer.

StyleStreet’s real problem

All traffic went to the Instagram profile

Until now, all of StyleStreet’s links (bio, stories, creators, salon QR) went to the Instagram profile or DMs. From there, the customer had to: find the post → DM → ask the price → wait.

People drop off at every extra step. Plus, without a website, Pixel and GA4 won’t be able to track anything once ads start.

Practical example: StyleStreet’s “Office Kurtis” landing page

Your mission: Wireframe a landing page

On paper or in Canva:

  1. List the website’s pages (home, collections, about, policies, contact)
  2. Write the landing page’s goal in one line
  3. Write the above-the-fold headline, sub-headline and CTA
  4. Write 5 benefits and 5 FAQs
  5. Check the message match between ad and landing page
  6. Choose a platform and write why
